September/October in Tx
We've had lots going on through Sept and Oct out here in Tx. We started the month near Longview Tx where we were at the Disneyland of campgrounds! The kids got their fill of swimming,putt-putt,bikes,the jumping pillow and on and on. We left there after Labor Day dodging the hurricane by a day and went on to Irving where we were at the furthest thing from Disneyland... It was only a overnight thank goodness but, Ethan looked out the window of the bus at our neighbor and said wow that guy must really love his trailer when I looked to see what he was talking about it was a huge chain and padlock on the door of his 1960 trailer!
We then moved up to Destiny Dallas RV Resort up in Denton. Its been a good location we've been bouncing between Chuck Swindoll's Stonebriar Community, and Watermark Community in Dallas. Both have been wonderful to attend.
Ethan has had asthma flare ups the whole time in TX. We had to go to the ER with him twice so thankfully when we got to Denton we were able to hook up with an allergy/asthma specialist and he did the testing he needed and found out he's allergic to a lot of TX. He's under control thankfully.
We've been studying Middle Ages in History so we started off at Medieval Times for my birthday.. made a coat of arms, grew a medeival medicine chest of parsley, sage, basil (because we couldn't find rosemary) and thyme, we made sundials, rose petal bread and a castle made out of rice krispie treats. We are having fun!
We got to go to the Texas State Fair...everything is big in TX.
Beau left us for two weeks to help out with mission flying in Haiti. Its such a blessing that he has the desire and opportunity.
Allie has held down the work end in his absence.. she has become a fire hydrant artist! She never wants to see safety yellow or metallic blue again!

The first blog entry....
I love other peoples blogs but it just feels so intimidating to be a blogger. You are putting your pictures and words on the internet for the whole world to see.. if only they were all interested. I can do this thing I'm just going to pretend its for my own review purposes. We do too much not to be keeping track and goodness knows my photo albums are not up to date. So maybe this will serve a few purposes. I think I'll work backward for a few events and then go forward. That's probably very profound. Here goes!!
